An Efficient WENO-reconstruction-based high-order Gas-kinetic Scheme for Viscous Flows
Based on the Weighted Essential Non-Oscillatory (WENO) reconstruction for the macroscopic flow variables and the direct use of the corresponding gas distribution function of the NavierStokes (NS) solution, a high-order finite volume gas-kinetic scheme is constructed. Different from the previous high-order gas-kinetic method [Li, Xu, and Fu, A high-order gas-kinetic Navier-Stokes solver, J. Comp...
متن کاملSpectral (Finite) Volume Method forConservation Laws on Unstructured GridsBasic Formulation
A high-order, conservative, yet efficient method named the spectral volume (SV) method is developed for conservation laws on unstructured grids. The concept of a “spectral volume” is introduced to achieve high-order accuracy in an efficient manner similar to spectral element and multidomain spectral methods. Each spectral volume is further subdivided into control volumes, and cell-averaged data...
متن کاملParallel Implementation of k-Exact Finite Volume Reconstruction on Unstructured Grids
We present a high-order piecewise polynomial approximation for finite volume schemes. This method is designed for general unstructured polyhedral grids. A new algorithm for the calculation of the approximants is discussed. The main geometric property of the procedure is that the direct neighborhood only is needed. This allows for an efficient parallel implementation.
متن کاملNumerical Investigation on Compressible Flow Characteristics in Axial Compressors Using a Multi Block Finite Volume Scheme
An unsteady two-dimensional numerical investigation was performed on the viscous flow passing through a multi-blade cascade. A Cartesian finite-volume approach was employed and it was linked to Van-Leer's and Roe's flux splitting schemes to evaluate inviscid flux terms. To prevent the oscillatory behavior of numerical results and to increase the accuracy, Monotonic Upstream Scheme for Conservat...
متن کاملAn Efficient Co Finite Element Approach for Bending Analysis of Functionally Graded Ceramic-Metal Skew Shell Panels
In this article, the prominence has been given to study the influence of skew angle on bending response of functionally graded material shell panels under thermo-mechanical environment. Derivation of governing equations is based on the Reddy’s higher-order shear deformation theory and Sander’s kinematic equations. To circumvent the problem of C1 continuity requirement coupled with the finite el...
